1 Year Anniversary

Chris and I celebrated our one year anniversary April 19, 2009. We enjoyed dinner over at my parent's house with my grandparents and brother joining in on the festivities. Our cake top had been resting over in my grandmother's freezer since our big day. She brought it over and to say the least I was dreading eating it after all the horror stories I had heard regarding the taste and texture of a year old wedding cake. HOWEVER ... I can say that our cake was still as fabulous as it was a year ago! It was still moist and delicious! Everyone enjoyed a piece of our cake for dessert. I am also happy to say that my Grandpa and Grandma Lipply who were not able to make our wedding because my Grandpa was basically fighting for his life in Indiana was able to be there for our 1 year anniversary! So, we were able to eat wedding cake together and they watched us feed each other our cake after all! God works in great ways! Overall I think our first year has been a blessing and we can't wait for many many more!

Nursery Update

Here are a few nursery updates. We hung up the bubble letters that my Grandma Fraser made for Jackson's room over his crib as well as the hand made decor from Martha in the entry way of the nursery. The last picture is just Chris admiring our sons beautiful nursery!

35 Weeks

This is a pictures taken when I was 35 weeks pregnant. I am currently 37 weeks and will post an updated picture soon! We can't believe how close it is!!

False Labor

On April 15, 2009 I was having contractions every five to seven minutes. They had never felt like this before so when I called the doctor's office they suggested that I go to the hospital just to be safe. I arrived at the hospital and they were able to monitor myself and Jackson for over an hour and came to the conclusion that I was in false labor. They said my body was just preparing for the real thing and that it could be any day now. We are still waiting the arrival of Jackson!

Nursery after the shower

After the shower we were able to unload everything into Jackson's nursery. The pictures here are after we sort of got everything organized. I took pictures of his crib with all his stuffed animals and the monogrammed blanket that was made for him; the corner full of diapers; the two baskets full of clothes that need to be washed; his changing station that we are still waiting on screws from JCPenny so that we can install the drawers; and his closet where soon all his adorable outfits will hang. Thank you again everyone! We are so blessed!

Baby Shower 4/4/2009

Our families hosted our baby shower yesterday at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Stow. It was a great day and we were able to see everyone and were blessed with necessities for the arrival of our newest addition. It was such a special time to think of all that we have been blessed with and to thank all those that are thinking of us during this time in our lives. The pictures to the left are at the beginning of the shower with all the gifts and then the bubble letters that my Grandma Fraser made for Jackson's room

Work Baby Shower

The ladies at work hosted a duel baby shower for myself and Tara, another expecting co-worker. They had a wonderful banana cake, great snacks, and gifts. The conference room was decorated, as you can see. The other picture is of the attendees. Thank you ladies so much for a great time! Jackson is going to get a lot of use out of his pack n play!

Ultrasound 3.31.2009

We had an ultrasound at our last doctor's visit. The picture to the left is of Jackson's face. When we were looking at it his little mouth was moving and I said, "Oh my gosh, he is talking already!" I am already biased thinking my child is the brightest baby ever! Everything was fine and Jackson weighs approximately 4lbs. 15oz., so almost 5lbs. We will now visit the doctor every week to see how I am progressing. I am currently 34 weeks and am getting more and more excited and nervous everyday!

Happenings ...

Hello Everyone,

We have not posted in a while and people were starting to question what we were doing?! There have a been a few new updates. We ordered and received our changing table and hutch from JCPenny, however it is still not complete. They did not send all the necessary screws to assemble it so we have been waiting on parts. It is complete except for the fact that the drawers are not on, which might come in handy for all his little clothes! I do have one picture to post of the changing table even though it isn't complete. I will definitely post pictures of the completed furniture. The room is looking more and more like a nursery everyday (minus the tools Chris is hoarding in there!). My co-worker from work is not able to be at the shower on Saturday so she gave us her present early and it was our mobile, so we were able to put that on his crib. Will post picture later. The closet system is installed as well and has two little pieces of clothing hanging in there. So cute! Will post picture later. As far as the nursery we are moving right along!
