Crib construction/Bedding

It only took Chris an hour and a half to put our beautiful crib together. It looks so great with the bedding as well. We still have to get a mattress for it however I absolutely love it!

Nursery is Finished!

The nursery is now complete. Chris worked so hard on getting it just perfect for Jackson. I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out. Now all we have to do is decorate, which I'm sure I'll have no problem doing!!

Nursery Update

Chris has finished the painting and will be working on the trim tomorrow .. THEN HE'LL BE DONE!! We went to Michael's tonight and had custom frame work done on three (3) pieces of art that I bought on Ebay. I will post pictures of them when they are done; they said it would take ten (10) days. Chris said everything will be done tomorrow and he is going to try to assemble the crib as well! It is getting so exciting! -- I have officially started my third trimester today, so we are on the home stretch! It won't be too much longer before Jackson is welcomed into the world! We can't wait!!

Nursery Update

Chris has started work again on the nursery. He is moving right along! So far he has the first coat of the light blue paint up! He isn't feeling well today and was a true trooper as he tried to get as much as he could! He is going to put the second coat of the light blue tomorrow, and then he is painting the white stripes as well as the trim through out the room white. And then ... it will be done! We absolutely love how it is turning out and soon Jackson will make it even better!

Mom's 50th Surprise Birthday Party 2/14/2009

My family hosted a surprise 50th birthday party for my mom over at my parents house this past Valentine's Day weekend. We never thought we could get one over on my mom ... but we did! It didn't start off smooth; considering she hosted her own fish fry dinner that night which made it hard to get her out of the house to set up for the party! It went by without a hitch though, and boy was she surprised! To the left is a picture as soon as she walked into the kitchen and saw everyone! It was a great time, and I'm so happy that she was able to have a great birthday party; she deserves it!!

Nursery Update

As you can see Chris is moving right along with the nursery. He is ready to paint, and will be doing so on his next scheduled day off! We are very excited to see the final product. It will be a beautiful nursery for Jackson!!

Updates

Hello Everyone! I just thought I would throw out a few updates. We had our last doctor's appointment on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 8:30am. It went very well. No ultrasound this time, but we did hear Jackson's heartbeat, and he is doing very well. I had my glucose test (of course I took a picture - will post later), and it wasn't as bad as everyone said it was going to be. I had 5 minutes to drink it and it basically tasted like Sunkist with a bad after taste. We had to wait an hour after that though so that they could draw blood for the test results. So, this was a longer visit. As we were sitting out in the lobby waiting Chris looked at me and said, "So, do I have to come to every doctor's visit for our next kid, or is it just for the first?" I laughed out loud and told him that he was cute, but with a stern look on my face I said, "You have to come to all of them for every child." :) If Chris is saying the cutest things, I can only imagine how much Jackson is going to make me laugh! We now have doctor's visit every two weeks, which only means we are getting closer (and I'm getting more nervous). -- I start my third trimester February 18th, my Mom's 50th birthday! -- We have our crib now, thanks to Meredith's Mom and to her Grandma who retired from JCPenny's and was able to still get us a discount on our beautiful crib! We haven't put it together because we want to wait until the room is done, so we (well Chris) can assemble it in the room. We still have to purchase the mattress for the crib, but we have all the bedding. The room is coming together nicely, and Chris hopes to finish it on Thursday (will post pictures later). -- Chris and I went to see a Led Zeppelin Tribute band called Zoso at the Akron Civc Friday, February 6, 2009 and boy did Jackson enjoy the concert! He was kicking the whole time! So far he has been to two concerts: Journey & Zoso and two Cavs games! He is already so well rounded! :) -- We have our next doctor's appointment Februrary 20, 2009 @ 2pm, so I will have more to share later! Hope everyone is doing well and our love goes out to you all!

26 Weeks

I can't believe I am already 26 weeks! Time is just flying by - according to our due date we only have 97 days left! Not that I'm counting or anything! :)

Chris was working on the nursery all day so I thought I would post pictures of the progress. He has a lot more work to do! :)

Meredith's Baby Shower 1/25/2009

We had Meredith's Baby Shower on January 25, 2009. It was such a great time, and together with her family and friends we created a moment for both Meredith and Joe (pictured left) to remember forever. I can not wait for Baby Beavers to come into the world! I also included a picture of Meredith and I with our bellies together! Such a cute couple of preggos!
