New life ... better life

Hello! Our last blog was the beginning of May and to say our lives have changed is an understatement. We have since welcomed our beautiful son, Jackson Scott Kelly, I have been laid off my dream job and have been a stay at home ever since. Life with my husband and son have enlightened me more than words can express. I feel blessed everyday. We have been affected by the current economy but we are not letting our stress effect the way we raise our son. He is the happiest and most beautiful baby I have ever seen. He is a great combo of both Chris and I. I will be posting more about our life soon as well as pictures!

Birthday Party

Today was Ryan's 2nd birthday party over at Craig and Sarah's house. We watched as Ryan and Cameron played on their new swing set, we ate delicious pizza, watched Ryan blow out his candles and open all his gifts. It turned out to be a nice day for everyone to be outside and enjoy each other's company. Happy Birthday Ry-guy!

38 weeks

I am currently 38 weeks pregnant. We had a doctor's appointment yesterday and the doctor said I am 1 1/2 to 2 cm dilated, Jackson is in the canal and my cervix is very thin. She said that we are getting very close. She said she could touch Jackson's head, so that is exciting. We are just counting down the days and I am "nesting" at home. We will keep everyone posted!

1 Year Anniversary

Chris and I celebrated our one year anniversary April 19, 2009. We enjoyed dinner over at my parent's house with my grandparents and brother joining in on the festivities. Our cake top had been resting over in my grandmother's freezer since our big day. She brought it over and to say the least I was dreading eating it after all the horror stories I had heard regarding the taste and texture of a year old wedding cake. HOWEVER ... I can say that our cake was still as fabulous as it was a year ago! It was still moist and delicious! Everyone enjoyed a piece of our cake for dessert. I am also happy to say that my Grandpa and Grandma Lipply who were not able to make our wedding because my Grandpa was basically fighting for his life in Indiana was able to be there for our 1 year anniversary! So, we were able to eat wedding cake together and they watched us feed each other our cake after all! God works in great ways! Overall I think our first year has been a blessing and we can't wait for many many more!

Nursery Update

Here are a few nursery updates. We hung up the bubble letters that my Grandma Fraser made for Jackson's room over his crib as well as the hand made decor from Martha in the entry way of the nursery. The last picture is just Chris admiring our sons beautiful nursery!
